I have followed the instructions to 'change the layout of the views that I am seeing' - in 2 different ways and neither of them work.

1) The first was to go to the 'menu', then 'settings' than 'layout' - Layout does not appear anywhere in my settings!

2) The other instructions I got were go to menu, go to customize (customize is NOT an option in my menu) and change the layout to classic.

I can't navigate to either - so where can I find 'layout' for Thunderbird????

What's your version of TB? The above instructions are for the current release, 91.

Press Alt to show the Menu Bar, then View/Layout.

I don't have 'alt' but what I needed to know was to go to the 'view' option first - and then go to the Layout Option. Problem solved. thank you.
