WEBrtc streaming into mozilla hubs as video element or when pasted in place
Hi,
It seems that Mozilla Hubs only supports HLS streaming services. New low latency streaming providers like millicast but also the open source and free obs.ninja use WEBrtc. Is there any intention to add support for this kind of streaming into mozilla hubs? I understood that it currently only supports HLS.
Using a streaming service like twitch is just way too much latency to make it into a true live experience.
We would like to use Hubs for an online festival with our school, the University of the Arts Utrecht.
Best, Hans Leeuw.

Oh, and it seems impossible to subscribe to this support feed.
Hi there
We don’t have any plans to add specific new video streaming services into Hubs at the moment but it’s something we may explore in the future.
I spoke to members of the Hubs dev team, and they suggested that HLS itself may not be the cause for the delay. The latency may be taking place (or at least be made worse) by using a third party service like Twitch.
It's possible that using a paid streaming service (e.g. I've heard of people using Wowza, though haven't set this up myself) might reduce the latency delays you see with services like Twitch. You might find folks in our Discord community who can speak to their experience live streaming into Hubs https://discord.gg/wHmY4nd
Thank you for your feedback on this.
PS: you are correct, there is no subscribe feature on support.mozilla.com
