Issue with latest version of Silverlight

Is there an issue with the latest version of Silverlight and Firefox 50.1.0? All of a sudden, I can not play Netflix videos and the ameritrade web based charting tools no longer work. The error message on Netflix is error code N8156-6013. I have done all of the suggested fixes on Netflix's support site. I did a full uninstall and reinstall of Silverlight without any success. The video's and charting work correctly though Internet Explorer with the latest version of Silverlight.

As a last try, I uninstalled Silverlight and installed an older version (5.1.50901) and everything works again in both IE and Firefox.

The OS is WIndows 7 pro, fully updated. The computer is a Lenovo ThinkCentre E73 10AS Desktop PC - Intel Core i5 -4570S 2.90GHz, 8GB Memory, 480 GB SSD.

Any insights would be appreciated.
