After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

I have no saved passwords, yet on some sites that require a login, a selection box shows a couple of choices for a user name/id for me to select. How do I clear these or stop the popup. It';s annoying. Thanks

Every time I log into my computer Firefox opens up Let's see Google Drive or app or something and wants me to login on my old paul@Skycastleconstruction.com account. I need this removed completely before we simply delete firefox

FOR SOME REASON FIREFOX TAKES AN ETERNITY TO POPULATE PASSWORDS AND USERNAMES IN FIELDS AFTER THE SECOND TO LAST UPDATE. VERY FEW TIMES IT DOESN'T EVEN BOTHER WHEN YOU CLICK THE FIELDS.

THIS HAPPENS ON ALL FIELDS INDISCRIMINATELY. LIKE IT'S TAKING MORE PROCESSING TIME OR SOMETHING. FIREFOX IS GETTING HEAVIER WITH EVERY UPDATE ISN'T IT.

Please fix the autofill feature to allow preferred password managers to work in the app! It's infuriating when developers don't bother to follow the guidelines and do as they please or purposely try and doge the guardrails. Please follow the native Credential Manager integration guidelines.

The popup appears and when cancelled will reappear after some time then repeat.

This popup appears to have a mind of it's own and should only appear "on click" into a password request box.

This is very annoying and whenever it appears the page being used will not function until the popup is cancelled.

Today autofill stopped working, 154.0b2 (64-bit).

I'm on the beta update channel.

The password saver and autofill has worked for me for many years. However, recently (08/18/2026) on many login pages that I regularly use, it will not !! I did discover that, if I supply the first character of the USERNAME, only then Firefox will supply the rest.

I am using FF Private browser for sensitive pages that I don't want tracked by my add-ons. However, a major annoyance is how stored passwords seem to be handled. E.g., when I try to login, and say I have 3 stored logins (all for the same URL), then FF private only offers one of them (chosen at random it seems), hiding the 2 others. Why does it do that? It just seems monumentally stupid and is a major usability hindrance. Tracking protection OK, but if this is the result then why bother. It makes the browser unusable.

One of my "Login required" sites (Call it Site One) is prompting me with a username when I click into the Username entry box. Unfortunately, the username it's prompting me for is from "Site Two".

I have never saved a username for Site One. The username it's prompting me with is from a completely different domain name, Site Two.

I searched Usernames/passwords and found only one occurrence for the username it is prompting with. It's properly listed under the correct Site Two. I deleted it anyway to test. That made no difference: it still appears in the drop down for Site One (after restarting Firefox).

Just to be clear: Site One has no stored usernames or passwords. I've never stored a username or password for Site One. I have done so for Site Two (but again, that's now deleted). Yet this username, which is now not stored anywhere in Firefox, is still appearing as a prompt for Site One.

Lastly, this is not a new issue. This problem dates back months.

Hello, I'm really confused about the autofill feature. I've been using this feature for years and noticed that on some website the password field is filled in, but the username is not. I searched the support pages and forum topics, and it seems that is a very common issue. According to what I read, it could be either:

1. The webmaster decided to tell the browser not to fill in the username, but let the password to be filled in.
2. The webpage use some out of standard approach to name the username field, so Firefox is unable to recognize it.

What annoys me is that there's no way to understand if it's the first or the second case, so you just accept it.

It would be very helpful if Firefox could:

1. Provide a way to understand what the real problem is.
2. Add an option to override moronic security approach of the web designer, so the "do-not-fill-in-this-field" property is overridden.

I was wondering if it's possible to lock a website's Login and Password Autofill behind a fingerprint prompt on mobile.

Sounds like a useful functionality, and would greatly improve overall App security, similar to how Samsung Pass works.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Is it really a browser issue or an extension one? Is it a config issue or a bug? I'm juggling 2FA settings on slack for a per workspace basis, plus to Bitwarden confusing different workspaces I'm also having issues with saving updated passwords into Bitwardens vault I'm also logged into my Mozilla account I'd like help troubleshooting this, thanks

Upgrading from System 7 PC to windows 11 PC. On new computer (windows 11) downloaded firefox, logged in; Bookmarks transfered, but some sites (AOL.com, for example) auto filling very old password. Old computer auto fills correct password. On new computer, password manager shows correct password. Why is it not working?
