Hello. So I had a work Gmail account on Thunderbird which I no longer use. I have deleted the account from Thunderbird, removed all related contacts in the Address Book as well as all Calendar events related to it, as well as all outbound server settings, etc. But Thunderbird still tries to sync to the account every 15 minutes. Would anyone know what else I need to do to stop this syncing? Thanks for any suggestions. Celine

Hello. I'm developing simple shedule app. Already I finished project but I have a problem with Thunderbird. In my app user's can send invitation's to another user's and important thing is sender must have this message in the Send folder. I have done it but to see this message user must repair index of Sent folder. Is there any possibility to reload this index from code or script? I tried deleting Sent.msf file but during Thunderbird working it's blocked and I can't get access to it until I close Thunderbird.

After I reload index manually everything is right and messages are visible.

Aiming to reduce memory used by my email. I have both Sent and Sent Mail folders. My preference would be to eliminate the duplication that takes place with the two. I understand that I can not unsubscribe from Sent Mail. Could Sent content be reduced to the items that are NOT in Sent Mail? Alternatives? My Sent folder contains more older files which I would like to retain but do not want to "try" something that MIGHT eliminate them. I am on a Mac23 with Latest Sonoma. Thunderbird on Gmail.

I get a message like this every time I start Thunderbird. The topic came up last year but the conclusion was along the lines of "...this problem will be fixed in version 128" but it was never clear whether or not the User followed Mozilla's support replies or what they had to do to clear the email message from Thunderbird. .....Well I'm running version 128.1.1esr and the problem still exists.

My questions:

1. What is Thunderbird trying to do? Compact individual email files? Compae from ct the whole Thunderbird Profiles folder?

2. Is the problem the size of the Profiles folder or the overall size of the hard drive the Profiles folder resides on? What is the Hard/solidstate drive is the maximum?

3. Is the problem related to the amount of Free Space left on the Hard/solidstate drive or is the issue the number of individual files?

4. Is the issue related to the number of Thunderbird files and/or folders OR is it related to the total number of files and/or folders on the hard drive?

5. Is there a limit to the number of sub-folder levels that Thunderbird can navigate?

I had to wipe out my computer and re-install Thunderbird. Unfortunately, I did not back up the latest Thunderbird profile, but had to use an earlier profile I had backed up. Now I can receive all emails, but cannot send any emails. (I am able to send email through Spectrum webmail.) In Spectrum, I have a main account, and 3 subaccounts. In the Outgoing Server SMPT settings in Thunderbird, where it asks User Name, which email account do I use, the main one or one of the subaccounts? I seems the SMPT setting is for both the main and the three subaccounts, not for each separately. Also, is there something else I need to do as I didn’t back up the latest Thunderbird profile? Hello, Over the last week or so I have not been able to send emails with Thunderbird but I can receive them with Thunderbird. I have contacted my internet provider, Telstra and they advise me it is not a problem with them as I can send emails via their Wed Mail. I have been getting a message saying to check my SMTP settings when I try to send emails via Thunderbird but I am not sure what to expect. My anti virus is with AVG. Hope you can help. John

I have been using TB to access my Exchange accounts at work through IMAP and OAuth2. Last week this stopped working and the server reports this:

'AADSTS7000112: Application '9e5f94bc-e8a4-4e73-b8be-63364c29d753'(Thunderbird) is disabled.'

IT say they won't re-enable access for individual users. I know TB's native support for Exchange is coming and that may solve the problem but in the meanwhile I notice my K-9 Mail on Android still works fine even though it is set up as TB. The only difference is that K9 is set up to hide the identity of the mail client in outgoing mail headers.

This and that the error message above specifically mention Thunderbird make me think: Could I perhaps bypass the block if the server didn't know I was using TB?

Is there a way to get TB to spoof or withhold its identity? This is clearly not about not reporting the mailer in the headers as it seems the server can tell the agent on connection (ID '9e5f94bc-e8a4-4e73-b8be-63364c29d753' as mentioned here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 ).

Get this message from ATT/Yahoo Sending of password for user rgeist@pacbell.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.

Then it says enter password which does not succeed.

I was moving an email folder in Thunderbird the other day and once the move function was complete, many of the messages will not load. In other words, once moved I can no longer access them. Any tips? If I click on that folder TBird just sits and says it's loading but it never catches up. TIA!

My address book has 4 different books; all address books, collected addresses, personal address book, and Coachmen (a club I belong to). I can access any of these "books" when writing an email, but if I go to Address Book in the toolbar, I can only add or edit to the Coachmen address book. I can't seem to figure out how to access any of the other books. I'm not sure what is going on, I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance, Stu.

I am attempting to migrate my Outlook Calendar to Thunderbird, but import fails with "No importable items found in the file". Here is some additional information.

- OS is Windows 10 - I am using the Outlook Client, part of Microsoft 365 Enterprise. I am no longer with my company, and so my Office 365 license has expired (hence the reason I am moving to Thunderbird). - I have already migrated my emails, using MailStore as an intermediary - Outlook Client will only export my calendar items in ".pst" file format (exporting as .ics is not an option) - I attempt to import the ".pst" file into Thunderbird (import from a file, import calendars) - the file open dialog defaults to ".ics", but I am able to change it to All files, then select the ".pst" file I created from Outlook - Thunderbird Import displays the message "No importable items found in the file" - I am a new user and am using the most recent version of Thunderbird, v128

I'm hoping somebody can provide assistance on how this can be accomplished.

It is so very very frustrating that thunderbird won't send my email and consistently asks me to enter my password. Each time I do that does NOT solve the problem. I've tried all the solutions I found on your site and others and nothing works. I do NOT want to switch email clients, but this is ridiculous and is not making things easier. I thought I'd switch from Outlook, but this is worse than the issues with Outlook. I really wish you would fix this once and for all. It appears this has been happening for well over a year. Please advise.
