The newest version of Thunderbird was installed on my desktop (Windows 10) and laptop (Windows 11) In Windows 10 it appears to be extremely buggy. 1. Freezes if not used after about 15 minutes. Have to CTRL ALT DEL to stop and restart. 2. Leading up to that downloading messages seems to slow to a crawl. 3. Filters to message folders seem to work sometimes and not others 4. If I close Thunderbird with CTRL ALT DEL and leave it closed I get a popup message after about five minutes saying Access to X mail server timed out

None of these problems have occurred on my Windows 11 laptop

Why is Thunderbird on Windows so agonizingly slow and unresponsive after recent updates? I've checked my memory, CPU, disk usage, network, everything. I've rebooted. I've tried it on multiple networks. Same thing - agonizingly slow and unresponsive. I've been using Thunderbird for over 22 years, and it's always been wonderful. Now, it SUCKS! What happened? Does anyone know of a better email client for Windows? I've contributed to T-Bird several times, but I can't support these latest updates. It's barely usable now. Help!

I see that Thunderbird has added another feature that makes Thunderbird less functional. First a single click to access Address Book now requires three keys to be depressed; Ctrl, Shift, and b. And this earlier change made it impossible to view incoming mail when accessing Address Book. Second, the change made yesterday requires that only one address can be added to an email at a time. When two or more address are highlighted and dragged to BCC, TO, or CC the user is forced into "Attach". Then the only thing that appears in "Attached" is as lot of gibberish and some personal information about only one of the addresses. I'm wondering just how many are no longer using Thunderbird after these changes? Oh, seems the most logical next change to make is to cease allowing an address to be "dragged" into a slot and require that the address be typed, key by key, into an "TO" slot. Hummm. Could a pattern be noted about using digital information? One of my credit unions made some online changes that make banking on line much, much more difficult. This long time "contributor" is now looking for some other email (and internet?) provider. I do hope that y'all make your product(s) more user friendly, rather than user difficult. DWG PS It took me two or three minutes to access this method of communicating with Mozilla. Y'all sure make it difficult for your users to communicate with you.

Long-standing Tbird acct, but new HP laptop. When I open Tbird I get a full-page Thunderbird request for money. I already support Thunderbird generously. But I can't make the solicitation page go aIf you can't stop pestering me for mofre money. I can always just go get my mail on Google. I'd MUCH rather not, but . . .

I have been unable to send or reply to emails 9-15-24. I can get emails....I have spent HOURS on the phone with Spectrum...took my computer to a tech support person, read and tried many things..... I AM TIRED.... What changed. Spectrum apparently is blocking something relative to the outgoing email... All settings appear to be as they are supposed to be (port, etc.)

Somebody, please advise me....

Hi, I can't use one account in Thunderbird, it's an Outlook one, can I disable it in THunderbird so I keep the messages without archiving them. I just want to stop it trying to send and receive for that one account. Thanks

- Authentication method: regular password. And everything worked until Microsoft implemented OAuth2.

Everything is described in detail there, I was also able to activate the “Security Setting” - OAuth2, but on the step where I need to change the settings of the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server from “Regular Password” to “OAuth2” - I was not able to do it, because in my settings there is no “OAuth2” parameter.

I also tried creating a new account for the new mail, but when I created it, I was also missing the “OAuth2” setting. I have the latest version of Thunderbird 128.2.3esr (64-bit) installed.

Dear technical support, please provide me the easiest solution so that I can continue to use my mail client.

Hi! I'm looking for emails in Thunderbird that contain "team energy". Why I get search results which have only "team" or "energy" in their text? How can I search for Mails including "team energie"? I am unable to delete folders that I have created myself. When I click on the folder and click Delete, nothing happens.These folders were created by me to enable me to store important emails related to one topic. Some of the folders were quite old, but most of them now are folders that I created recently.

Attempts that I have made:

• I was able to delete the contents of the folders, hoping that after that I could delete the folders. I was still unable to delete the folders.
• I thought if I renamed these folders I could delete them. I was also unable to rename the folders.
• I created another folders called "can't delete" and placed all the folders that I can't delete into that folder. I tried to delete the whole "can't delete" folder, again without success.
• I also tried to delete the folders by moving them to other existing folders, and then tried to delete them, again no success.

Can someone please assist.
