No emails since 12/5 my isp says the fixed their end says ask Thunderbird for help.

I have 4 emails in Thunderbird 2 are gmail addresses, they work fine. The other two are with my isp (knology/Wowway). The emails are on the Wowway website, but they don't… (прочетете още)

I have 4 emails in Thunderbird 2 are gmail addresses, they work fine. The other two are with my isp (knology/Wowway). The emails are on the Wowway website, but they don't download to Thunderbird. My server name is imap.mail.wowway.com, my port is port 143, connection security is STARTTLS, and normal password.

My last call to my ISP, they said they fixed the problem on their end, now it is Thunderbird's problem. I'm skeptical since they admitted they had a problem and they fixed it, but, can anyone help me? 10 days since it quit working!

Thunderbird will no longer send E-Mail but still works for incoming E-Mail. It provides the following error message:

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) outbound.att.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

The Outgoing server is configured as follows: AT&T / outbound.att.net / 465 / SSL/TLS / Normal Password / E-Mail

This configuration has not been changed in years. Everything I can find on line suggests this configuration should still work. Any suggestions you could provide would be appreciated.

I've recreated the gmail link, enabled/disabled gmail label but it refuses to change

The problem is best shown in the images where the Gmail link is to All Mail but the name is Archives

Some Local folders have been renamed as Sent

I have several folders defined under 'Local Folders'. Two ('Mark_emails' and 'Mums_emails') have been renamed as 'Sent'..... so I now have 3 'Sent' folders! Looking at the properties of one of these, shows:

       Name:  Sent
       Location: mailbox://nobody@LocalFolders/Mark_emails

I can't change the name back to 'Mark_emails'. I've tried Repair, to no avail. I can't delete it either.

It's a similar situation with 'Mums_emails'

I want to keep the emails that these folders contain.

I'm using Thunderbird 146.0 (64-bit) on Windows 11.

Thunderbird email defaults to select the next message

When I select emails to delete (move to Trash) Thunderbird deletes them BUT THEN automatically selects the next email in the list. If I don't notice that, and deselect it… (прочетете още)

When I select emails to delete (move to Trash) Thunderbird deletes them BUT THEN automatically selects the next email in the list. If I don't notice that, and deselect it, that email gets deleted with the next batch. I've lost several emails this way. So, how do I get Thunderbird to stop selecting the next email after it deletes the ones that I selected. Nothing should be selected after an email is deleted. I don't see anything in the settings menu to do this. If this is a default feature, it's pretty dangerous and should be changed.

I do not know why but since yesterday I don't have the Orange Box in my Thunderbird home page to create a new message. I have to go into account and click on new message ( with a pen icon ). How do I get the orange box back. I have the orange area in the other pages like addresses, calendar, and the like, but not for new messages. How could I get it back because I installed a new copy of Thunderbird but it did not work. I want to install Thunderbird on my new computer (Windows 11) from my old (Windows 10). But I cannot open the downloaded version of Thunderbird - it keeps saying there is no profile. Of course there is no profile before I have installed it! I de-installed and re-installed the Thunderbird program, but it keeps saying the same thing. How can I open Thunderbird to install the profile?

It seems as thought the Thunderbird "Archive" folder is actually reflecting my Gmail "All Mail" folder (which includes mail w/o regard to labels). However, is the Archive folder duplicating these emails on my PC, i.e. is there a copy of each Inbox email, etc? This would double the size it takes up on my PC. Or is it simply acting like the "All Mail" folder online - reflecting all emails.

It would then appear in the list of accounts in the 'Left Hand pane'

I have configured (maybe not correctly) Acess, but nothing appears in teh Left Hand pane.

I attach the create account screen .. and also teh normal TB viw .. and usenet server not shown

today Thunderbird doesnt send nor discharge emails from gmail. I've seen that yesterday (december 10) it was an update. I dont know it the problem it's related or not, but the program doesnt work, it seems that it tries to connect with server but it cant. If I send an email from Gmail page it works.

I have two installations of Thunderbird on two different computers 2 different locations, both are new installations. Both are on Windows 11. The one at home, works perfect, the one in my second home too except the unified toolbar is unresponsive, whatever I click there it doesn't respond, The X doesn't close the program, the - doesn't minimize anything, just nothing happens, any advise?

i wiil start again thunderbird says imap.supanet.com does not come from atrusted source but i am ok with that. supanet is now giving me problems can you send reply to [edited] @gmail.com

Thunderbird "Important" folder

I was cleaning up my Inbox when I looked at the "Important" folder. I read in a number of places that this is a "Gmail" thing, and messages get in this folder apart from… (прочетете още)

I was cleaning up my Inbox when I looked at the "Important" folder. I read in a number of places that this is a "Gmail" thing, and messages get in this folder apart from any action etc on my part.

I have a couple questions.

FIRST, are the emails in the "Important" folder only in that folder or are copies in there? I deleted a number of 2 to 3 year old emails that I do not consider important today. The closer I get to this year [2025], the more careful I get.

SECOND, how can the auto-population of that folder be stopped and the folder be deleted? I keep my important emails in designated folders so I can find them.
