I use tab groups to save work sessions so I can easily close and reopen them when I need them. I typically use the downward arrow to see all of my tab groups, however, when I opened my laptop today, there are only two tab groups there and no "show all" option. When I opened my laptop today, I did see that Firefox had been closed unexpectedly and the restore sessions option, which I used. The two tab groups I had open when I left my laptop opened again when I used restore sessions, but now those are the only two tab groups I seem to have. How can I get back all of my other tab groups?

Multiple attempts to post this and get help - my tab groups randomly closed and they are all gone. I spent a lot of time gathering up tabs into the right groups for big projects and trips. Somehow a window closed - accidentally, leaving only my inbox one open. I tried to no avail to find tab groups, restore history (option not given), and other ways to restore this.

I had been excited about the option of tab groups, and in the past they always reopened after a restart. But today they disappeared in the middle of session. It's tons of work and time lost and I don't think I'll use them again. What a disappointment.

How can I make sure they NEVER come back ?

I have tried the violentmonkey script, doesn't work, I have it right now and look, there are TWO tab buttons on my tab !

I rely heavily on tab groups to organize my browser sessions for different tasks and projects. I’ve experienced an issue where, after saving+closing tab groups, they disappear from the “Recent Tab Groups” section after some time. This means (EVERYTHING IS LOST) I have to recreate my organized tabs from scratch each time, which is a "significant workflow disruption" (to say lightly). I understand tab groups are designed to persist across sessions and the hinting fox menu says they should be available for reopening in “Recent Tab Groups” at anytime, but I’m finding this isn’t consistently working (on several devices I use). I’m hoping to understand if there’s a limitation or known issue with how tab groups are stored, and whether there’s a more reliable way to preserve these groupings long term. It’s possible others are running into this behavior too, and I’d appreciate insight into whether this is a known issue or if I’m missing something in how tab groups are managed. Perhaps a future patch could address this persistence problem for long term reliability?

All the application windows I had opened on my Mac, closed due to a security related update. Now Firefox isn't showing any of my tab groups from before and also there's a weird behavior when you click on the Firefox icon, it opens a new window that is small, but when you do file > new window it also opens a window but full sized. I tried creating a new tab group and the second approach of doing file > new window is showing the tab group in the tab group menu, but the window created by doubling clicking the icon doesn't show it.

I started using a tab group to organize my tabs and save it. I was able to open it from the overflow menu before but now there is no trace of it there. Surely there is a way to see the history of tab groups and recover it right...

A few updates ago I had an extension or setting somewhere which caused a new window to open with the tab which exceeded a pre-defined tab limit. This capability disappeared a few FF updates ago. Is there a way to do this now? Larry

When I close Firefox, it says I have 608 tabs. I keep a lot of tabs open, but not that many! I have tried closing them, but they reappear when I restart Firefox. I want many to reload but not the ones I have closed previously. Please advise -- it is really effecting the performance of my Lenovo laptop.

Hello, I accidentally clicked on a new toggle button and it opened a Google sidebar. I also now do not have the ability to have multiple tabs open on the same browser. If I clcik on command-T (Mac), the screen goes dark. What happened? Can I get my old system back, without this Google sidebar?
