In my settings under Connected Services there is a list of devices that have signed into my firefox account. I do not recognize one of them. The Connected Service listed name is Firefox Mobile 126, Android 14. How can I find out where this is coming from?

The website mylotto.co.nz has been blocking Firefox for many months now and when I rang them to find out what the problem is they just say they are having problems but it was obvious that the person there was reading a script and fobbing me off. This has been going for many months now a problem would have been fixed by now. I would like to know if you can bring pressure to bear on them to get reinstated again. Hello, Since a couple of weeks I'm facing a strange issue on my Firefox installed on my desktop (arch linux) where the suggestions window that appears when clicking the URL address bar, is shifted upwards and covers the address bar itself and the majority of the bookmarks. Has anyone experienced a similar issue and is able to point me towards some troubleshooting steps? Thanks!

I'm on Windows 11 Pro 23H2. This is a pristine installation, downloaded from mozilla.org, default settings, no add-ons. - Firefox 126.0.1. - There are no cookies, history or cache to clean, since it's a fresh installation. - Connection settings is set default to "Use system proxy settings", although I've also tried setting it up to "No proxy", then restarting Firefox completely, then trying again with a new domain. No change. - DNS over HTTPS is set default to "Default protection". I've also set it to "Off", then restarting Firefox completely, then trying again with a new domain. No change.

I don't what else to try and I don't know what's wrong with Mozilla Firefox.

Recently I used the forgot about this site for reddit, but when I try to click on a link from either my bookmarks or from a web search I keep on getting. [The page isn’t redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.]

Not exactly sure what causes this or how to fix it.

Soooo! everytime I try to open cloudflare, no matter what site it comes from, the connection refuses to go through and I'm only having this problem on firefox, I came from opera gx, had no problems with cloudflare till now!

the only autoplay setting i can find is under privacy and security. the page shows DEFAULT FOR ALL WEBSITES: Block Audio and Video, but videos still open and play. the page does not retain the change when i select the button REMOVE ALL WEBSITES. this problem has not been happening for years. it may have begun about six months ago. thank you for your time

Hello Firefox community and thank you for your time and effort. Let me begin by saying I used to have this same issue with MS operating systems until I said goodbye to MS and went to Linux on one laptop and got a Mac for streaming and graphics. Here is the issue: MS had so many background processes running constantly, regardless of what I was using the machine for, that I regularly experienced crashes, warnings and slowed responses on my Windows machines. No matter how vigilant I was about settings and stopping processes and keeping system clean, I would regularly have to replace the fan on my machines as the constant overheating would eventually kill the fans. That has not been a problem since I made that switch away from MS. Until now. I keep clean machines and keep them updated religiously. But with the latest few Firefox updates the problem is now back on both my Linux built Lenovo and my MacBook Pro, especially the Mac. That regularly shuts down after an hour of streaming use. When I hear the fan constantly struggling and feel the machines heating up I check the background processes and find that Firefox has at least four running processes eating up resources. Force stop does not fix the resource hogging; by the time it is apparent and I respond the machine is already overheated and shuts itself down. Last night I started searching and found a (very) recent thread about this same issue. Most of the participants were attributing it to recent updates. If this is the case is there any effort to fix this? I would hate to have this issue completely destroy my older (but still heavily relied upon) MacBook with this constant mechanical challenge since I cannot afford to replace it. Please can you fix this problem. It is an old and exhausting struggle I thought I would not have to deal with again. If my assumption of the source of the problem is inaccurate do you have any suggestions? Thanks again, Jerri

I visited about:support for the first time today, and I notice a list of Add-ons I was unaware of (i.e. I did not installed these), and I have questions.

Some of these made me think about the search shortcuts I see in Firefox's search setting:

Are these preinstalled in the Firefox browser? What is their function? Are the search shortcuts and these add-ons associated?

I've been banging my head against a wall trying to figure this one out. Every time a video plays on youtube, reddit, etc it will show normal colors for a split second then it will darken it and wash out the colors. Not sure what is causing this.

Things I've tried: gfx.color_management.native_srgb to true in about:config Changing video settings in nvidia control panel Turning off hardware acceleration Restarting browser and PC Updating browser and video drivers, windows as well Turning off all extensions Trying with codecs both deactivated and reactivated

No other browser does this and ALSO when I run firefox in private mode it doesn't happen and videos run normally. Also when I try to record or take a screenshot of it it looks normal. Thank you for any assistance.

I am unable to either log in or access accounts on the websites indeed.com, x.com and chatgpt's openai.com

I used different computers (Windows 10 and Windows 11), different networks (Public library and private residence), and different versions of Firefox (125 and 126.0), one browser without any add ons and another with the "uBlock Origin" one, and I kept observing captcha or human authentication related errors.

With x.com, I would pass the human verification challenge (solve 10 puzzles), and then I would get the error "Something went wrong. Due to a technical issue, we couldn't complete this request. Please try again." My FF version 126.0.1 browser history file size is stuck at 10,240 KB. Until recently it was 54,000 KB and change. I would like to get it larger. I've tried all the recent help postings relating to places.history.expiration.max_pages, places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages, browser.history_expire_days, browser.sessionhistory.max_entries or browser.sessionhistory_max_entries, and so on. Nothing seems to be able to change the "places" file size. Anyone have any more info on this topic?

Yesterday I set up a new computer, installed Firefox and logged in to my Firefox account. Everything went well, my bookmarks appears, all (!) my extensions were installed, everything looked fine. Then I went about my way configuring unrelated Linux stuff, using Firefox as normal on both computers, no problems.

But at some point, I suddenly noticed that on both computers, the icons for most of my extensions had disappeared. And sure enough, looking in about:addons, all that was left were five addons (Dark Reader, Simple Translate, uBlock Origin, Dictionary Anywhere, OneTab). And on both computers, including my main laptop (!), where I hadn't done anything other than clicking around in websites.

And it only affected the extensions, my bookmarks, history, etc all is fine and synced between the computers.

No restarting of Firefox, choosing different profiles in about:profiles (there was only one other, a mostly empty one), nothing got them back. And looking in ~/.mozilla/firefox/, sure enough extensions.json and all extension related folders had been changed, looking as if I never had more than these five extensions installed.

And when I installed one of my usual extensions again, all of it's settings and customizations were back to default. So this is not just a case of having to reinstall a few extensions. All custom uBlock filters, all Tampermonkey scripts, etc, everything is gone.

I tried looking around on the web for solutions, but it appears that there is no one who has had this exact issue before, and I couldn't find any indication that there is any way to revert such an error by Firefox Sync.

To my luck, I have a secondary laptop where I should have a mostly up-to-date instance of my Firefox profile, from which I will now try to recover my extension data, but if that weren't the case, years of fine-tuned settings and customizations would be gone.

As people rely on Firefox Sync to back up their Firefox data, instead of backing up their Firefox data "against" Firefox Sync failing like this, I'd think this is not something that ever should be possible to happen. At the very least, there should be some way to revert errors like this. Perhaps Firefox Sync could store backups either server side or client side before syncing deletions like this?
