Is it possible to make the recent history list (History menu) longer?

When clicking 'History', there's a list of the 10 most recently visited pages. I would like to make this list longer, so I was wondering if there's any way to change the number of entries displayed there. I've been looking for some about:config rule but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if whether it's possible, and if yes, how? Thank you!

No, you can't change the number of history items that you see in that list.

You can create a "Recently Visited" smart bookmark and specify maxResults to see more history items.

place:queryType=0&sort=4&maxResults=30

Hmm... Doesn't seem to work: Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/omni.jar!/chrome/browser/content/browser/places/content-ui/controller.xhtml

I'm not on a Mac, so I don't know what went wrong.

You did enter the full text in the location field of the new bookmark?

place:queryType=0&sort=4&maxResults=30

Yes, I copied it from your post. I made a new bookmark, and added that line as 'Location'. When trying to load it, I get that error from my previous post. Just to make sure: are you using FF5 or do you know whether that feature should be compatible with FF5?

Did you close and restart Firefox after you have created that bookmark?

That may be needed to get Firefox to recognize such a smart bookmark.
You can also try a cut and paste to renew that bookmark.

Lol I can't believe I didn't try that... I kinda supposed bookmarks would work right away. It's working now, thanks a lot!

You're welcome.

I had forgotten that you need to do those extra steps.
