Are you referring to the auto translate feature in the Google Toolbar?

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.

The Google Toolbar 7.1.20110512W version does work in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension, I tried it myself due to the large number of postings about GTB problems.

I don't use the Google toolbar, but none of the 'translate this page' links work in FF v.5, and I get the 'server not found' error. Identical pages translate immediately without issue in MS IE. It's not a Toolbar, I don't want the Toolbar. Can it be fixed any other way?

Yeh, I don't use the google toolbar either it's just the AUTO TRANSLATE function I use. Hopefully its just a case of google/Bing creating a compatability patch for the translate function for ff5. As and when this will happen is anybody's guess but I hope it's soon. Can't live without it on twitter !!!!

Sorry that my guess about what you are using was wrong. How about telling us exactly what you installed to provide that auto translate feature in Firefox?

If you don't know, give us a list of the extensions that you do have installed so that we don't have to wildly guess or so we can do an educated guess as to which one isn't working.

Help > Troubleshooting Information = use the Copy all to clipboard button, then paste into a text editor program. Then delete all but the list of Extensions and copy'n'paste that to the Reply box here.

Hi, In answer to the first part of your question, when I first installed ff4 the option to auto translate (with Bing I think) was already there, it's only when I upgraded to ff5 that the option dissapeared.

I am already using Firefox 6.0, and also can not find the Translation 'Button' (Menu Choice).

I have been using Firefox since Netscape quit working. Earlier this year my 4.?? version was acting up so I went to Chrome (although I found it was too slow when I append a dozen tags or separate Chrome windows). I'm glad I came back (just before 5.0, them 6.0) .... even though you do not seem to be organized with the Add-ons and features like the translation. Please organize these changes as quickly as possible.

Thanks to all the passionate programmers in preserving Fire Foxes prominence in the cloud (internet), keep it up.
