I think the strategy would be different, depending on whether you feel discrimination from students, faculty, or the administration. I think you can sue the administration, but faculty is more difficult, since they can inhibit your progress. I would broach the topic directly to the source. Society in general is not supportive of this prejudice. You aren't trying to solve for the world, just your degree progress, so stay narrowly focused.
