For my business, I use the CalendarWiz app (desktop) and have no problem with autocomplete as I start to enter a client's name and phone number when making next appointments. I wanted to switch over to use only Firefox, but cannot get the autocomplete to work, and for that reason alone I cannot consider making it my exclusive browser.

I've tried the trouble shooting as best I could, but cannot get it to work. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Hi Lori, I'm not familiar with that site. If you compare how the site works in Microsoft Edge, does the autocomplete work differently between the two browsers?

You also could contact their support to see whether it is a known problem in Firefox or in browsers more generally.

Thank you so much for the quick response.

Here's the link to the app that I use, and have been using for many years, with never a problem: https://www.calendarwiz.com.

It's not them.

And, as I said, I can use it fine with Chrome. Was not able to use with Microsoft Edge; tried that as well, but in that case, when I followed instructions, it directed me to places on my laptop (in Options) that didn't even exist.

I'm really at a loss.

I can't be typing in someone's name and phone number multiple times for multiple visits a week; it's nuts.

Only option is to scuttle Firefox altogether, or use it for everything else and use Chrome for my appointments.

Boy, I must be having a bad day. I typed in a response, and don't see it. Have to do it again!

First of all, thank you very much for your response; much appreciated.

I've been using CalendarWiz (https://www.calendarwiz.com) for several years, and I love it. I have no problem with Chrome. I schedule multiple clients for multiple visits each week and as soon as I start typing a name, a drop-down box presents itself and I choose the appropriate person.

Have never had a problem with Chrome. And don't today.

I could not do it with Microsoft Edge either, and I followed their instructions exactly (with some help from my tech-savvy daughter). They kept leading me to "options" that didn't exist in my laptop or with the software.

I'm at a loss.

I have to either give up Firefox altogether, and I was so looking forward to betting away from Chrome. Only other option is to use Chrome for my appointments, and Firefox for everything else.

Do you know whether they support Firefox? I don't want to sound lazy, but I'd rather not set up an account just for testing.

I'm going to reach out to them. They usually respond to emails in a timely fashion, and I'll let you know. Thank you so much.

I received a response back from CalendarWiz:

"Hi Lori,

CalendarWiz will work with Fire Fox and all browsers. The autofill or autocomplete features are a function of the browser. The browser will remember the text you type into forms on certain websites (Such as entering an event title on the Calendar). Unfortunately, if you are changing browsers it would be like starting over from scratch in a new browser. It should remember your text if you enter the same event again. You could test this by adding an event and then trying to add the same text again (the autofill would work the 2nd time if it is the same text).

It would be like starting from the beginning again with Fire Fox, but it should autofill the event titles going forward.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely, Peter CalendarWiz Support"

I do see 3 client names now in the drop-down box but, it's funny, one client's name I only entered once, and I see it in the drop-down. Another client's name I entered three times manually, and I don't yet see it.

I'm going to keep at it because, as I said, I really want to only use Firefox, and I've already set it as my default browser. I'll be hopeful that eventually the autocomplete drop-down box will be totally populated.

I want to thank you again for your prompt attention to my inquiry. I sincerely appreciate it.

Lori
