That was a scam. Too bad that you called that number. To check whether you have been infected with a virus/malware :
Go to the 3-bar menu => Addons => and look for any unfamiliar or suspicious looking extensions.
When you find any : remove them.
Do the same in Windows' Control Panel => Programs.
However : most malware will be 'hiding' somewhere , so let's run malware scans :
Further information can be found in this article :

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners.
They all work differently - what one program doesn't pick up, the other might.
To prevent this from happening again, you could consider this add-on :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Is this a pop-up that you received? If you still have it open, can you take a screenshot of it and upload as a comment? Tip for screenshots: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-create-screenshot-my-problem
Add Images --> Browse... --> select photo and upload
If you don't have it open, can you describe what possibly triggered it, whether it was searching the web or just strictly from an email?
Hi, sorry i dont have it open now. i just closed all the tabs. Yes it was a pop up accompanied with someone saying to call the 0800 number on the pop up and warned me about not shopping online due to this virus. I called the number for firefox that was on the pop up, but got a disconnected ringtone, it might have been because it was a USA number? When i opened the email, I clicked on the company name to access their website on the emailed invoice. I also had the amazon website open on another tab
So from my understanding, this is a fake pop-up. A potential scam. As a use to help prevent this from occurring again, you can install a Add-on to prevent these pop-ups from occurring. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
In regards to your computer, I'd run a full security scan in case any changes were made to your system. Here's a list of Security Software that I'd recommend, if you don't have one already. -MalwareBytes -Webroot -Avast -Kaspersky -ESET
