My Mac wi-fi connection icon says 'no hardware installed' but the connection works perfectly on my PC.

I've tried restarting the Mac but get the same result. The Mozilla 'help' page directs me to Menu and Options, but no options appear in the drop-down box. Would be really grateful for any suggestions on what to do.

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but more like an issue with the Apple hardware that you are using.

I recommend that you contact a specialist Apple support forum who should be able to help with this issue.

Thanks for your suggestion. In the end it turned out to be an Apple software issue which was only solved by a specialist Apple dealer.
