The initial alert comes in find when i get a new email with a sound and all however if I don't click on the notification box and either delete or read the email then the subsequent emails that come in I don't see any notification or notification sound.

If I close the notification box or don't click on the email that was sent to me I will not receive any more notifications. How do I go about to correct this?
