It appears that Thunderbird was very recently changed. I was very happy with the version I was using before the change. How can I get my old version back?

I don't know what version that was. I have used Thunderbird for a while. Does that imply that the previous version was 149.01? Or was it 148.01?

I had been using Thunderbird on a linux computer (ubuntu). I am now using it on a windows machine (temporarily, I hope). Could that be the reason I see a dramatic difference?

I use Thunderbird to store loacally some email from gmail and delete it from the online server.

Until october last year it was working flawless, to day I need to read an old email and I discovered that locally since october of some email is only stored the subject and somtime I only have the ticker that increase in the stored email email, but there is either not title or subject. I didn't change any setting in my computer or in the antivirus,, the only thing is that I perform the update of thunderbird as usual. Is it possible to recover these emails or they are gone forever?

I can setup the Calendar event, save it and see it in my Home Calendar along with the little bell icon in the top right hand corner which tells me the Calendar is aware of the notification request. I generally add a reminder for the Calendar event but just noticed that no actual reminders are being generated.

Opening a link in email with control key now switches to browser (Firefox). Previously, pressing the control key when opening a link did not switch to browser. This is handy for opening multiple links in an email without switching to browser each time. Is there a setting somewhere to restore the previous behavior?

I get the error "connection to server pop-server.triad.rr.com was reset" when running Thunderbird and then I get no email.

Don't know if it is relevant but I did try VPN beta in Thunderbird some time before the above error happened.
