When adding a link in the composer I get a large image.

I have tried to adjust the page code to give me a more suitable size however it seems the TB overrides the size

Thunderbird downloads from Gmail (a POP server) spam folder. It should only download from the "Inbox", isn't this correct? Gmail is not IMAP, which would dl all folders? Downloaded phishing and spam emails which come from the Gmail spam folder always have an incorrect time stamp.

Several days ago we inadvertently deleted batches of emails from our two Thunderbird Gmail accounts on our PC and Apple devices. The lost emails were duly recovered but only after having to change my Google password. However one of our Thunderbird Gmail account will not download any new messages coming in. Ultimately we deleted that account from Thunderbird, intending to reinstall it. We deleted the account by pressing the Red button in account settings. We confirmed that messages are received to Gmail's Web page Inbox Now when I attempt to reinstall the account and press Add Account, I get the UNABLE TO LOG IN AT SERVER MESSAGE shown below. The "Your Full Name" I am putting in is the name on the Google account deleted from Thunderbird, and the password I have tried is my new Google password. I have tried the process of not adding in the password until requested to do so but this did not work either. Any suggestions please?

I changed settings to no threading, but it continues to show the thread column in all the folders and do threading unless I manually remove the threading column from each folder - very time consuming. How do I get rid of the threading column globally?

'unique identifier' error and Inbox thinks it a draft folder. But only on one account. Messages to one of my mailboxes says it's coming from another of my email accounts, not the sender. If I right click the message in the Inbox I get an Edit Draft drop down. If I select 'open in another window' the From is correct in the new window. If I open an email in the Inbox the From shows coming from one my accounts. Started yesterday and I tried various ideas from faq's. Thanks!

I just started having a issue where it will be for example noon , and I just get a email , that is not on top but down the list and it says 9am , or similar times where it is 1 or more hours later from the time on the email , but it just showed up , but its down on the list of recent emails , so for example I check emails and a few come in or I get a notice that I have a new email

I have Thunderbird minimized in the taskbar , I never close it , and it will show a email from a few hours ago that just came in , but its below emails that I have already read that were after that time , so basically its like some emails just randomly appear that didn't get delivered when they were supposed to along with the others at that time , this is not a 1 time thing , this has happend several times over the last few days

I can't find any Setting that allows me to choose Newest Emails on Top , or to check the Time to see if it thinks its a different time of day than it is when delivering , or to bring in emails in order of delivery time , newest first and so on , so if a email has a Delivery time of 9:38 am I actually recieve it at 9:38 am , for example I got a email showing the time at 12:48 PM as delivered (10 minutes ago , but I just got the email now at 12:58 am) , then I got one time stamped at 11:15am , and 11:13 am , and at 9:38 am , , the 9:38 am email came AFTER I got the 11:15 email by about 30 minutes , and the one I just now got (it was 12:58pm when I got it , but it shows a time of 12:48 pm so 10 minutes difference from the time it shows delivered to the time I actually got it) , this is while my email is open and I am looking at emails ..... Email Version .. 147.0 ..

Hi, I am trying to export a calendar from a Windows 10 PC into a Lubuntu PC. The exported Home.ics file is about 217KB. At stage 4 in the import process (which shows the file name correctly) a message in red says "No importable items found in the file" . In the main area it says "Loading items" but nothing happens. Am I missing something here? Thanks

I have created several address books in Thunderbird for my contacts. How can I add all the names in a particular address book to one of the fields such as Bcc without having to add them individually?

Leider kann ich mich nach mehrmaligen Versuchen bei Thunderbird nicht anmelden da es mir immer wieder eine Fehlermeldung anzeigt, dass meine Daten nicht korrekt seien ( sie sind korrekt und konnte mich auch schon auf einer anderen Plattform anmelden). Was kann Ich noch tun um mich anzumelden.

Hello, My SMTP server uses Let's Encrypt certificate. The website with the same domain has no certificate. Thunderbird refuses to connect to my SMTP server. Test connection to the server (STARTTLS) in account settings sais "The secure connection to the server failed" (or similar. I see bg localization). Another server with Let's Encrypt certificate. Test pases. Clicking View certificate shows webserver cert (from DigiCert Inc).

I can't send emails! :)

I´m well trained employee in user support and server administration for more than 30 years now. So long for my skills... I´m the administrator of a Microsoft 365 tenant. A user asked some days age, as he can´t login into his M365E3 account using Thunderbird. I tried this scenario in my private Thunderbird profile and indeed I get an weird dialog box. I can insert my password above the first line, input above the second line is readable in clear text, the checkboxes are selectable, but no button for continue. My pc calendar display is blank. I can create new event in Thunderbird on my pc and it is immediately appears in my google calendar on my mobile phone, but does not appear on my Windows 11 PC.

Hi, The question is in the title. I have imported my Outlook data in this 32-bits version (updated to 140.7) . I would like to keep them in a 64-bits version (147). I didn't find the solution. Thank you for helping me. Michael.

I'm using Thunderbird 140.6.0esr (aarch64) on a 2024 14" MacBok Pro running MacOS 15.7.3 (24G419).

I manage fourteen email addresses, with most of the traffic going to one primary account, either by direct addressing or forwarders from others of the addresses. Maybe not the most efficient setup, but it means I don't have to scan 14 different inboxes to find the messages I most need.

I currently use ±89 filters on this primary account to file messages in a LOT of mailserver-based folders, and a few folders on the laptop. ±90% of the traffic gets filed in server-based folders so I can use any device to access message history. (I should probably note that these filters and message-threading don't always play nice together.)

For a long time, one of the message filters I'll call "Filter BS" successfully filed specific messages in "Folder BS," a server-based folder 2 levels below the inbox. Folder BS also has 2 levels of sub-folders within it for annual and monthly filing.

Some time ago, I began to have problems with messages of many kinds (subjects/sources/etc.) going missing. Eventually, I searched and found them in Folder BS. In response, I deleted Filter BS, looked for but didn't find other filters responsible for these unexpected results, and managed incoming BS-related messages manually. But despite Filter BS having been deleted, non-BS-related messages still get "lost," meaning incorrectly filed in Folder BS, which is acting like a rogue black hole, sucking up everything that gets too close. I have not been able to identify any criteria for what turns up in Folder BS beyond "lots of stuff that doesn't in any way belong there."

Speculating that something's "off" with the BS folder's directory in a way that would be nearly impossible to fix, I'm trying to figure out the least inconvenient, least risky way to solve the problem.

Not knowing other ways I might compound the problem by making big moves with the MANY messages archived in the BS folder's 7 annual subfolders and their 12 each subfolders; and not knowing how to back up server-based in-box sub-folders, I'm stuck at an impasse.

How should I proceed?

Why are older emails disappearing from the Inbox? It didn't do this when I was using Windows 7SP1. Now I have Windows 11 and it seems the Oct and Nov emails I had have disappeared. Only Dec emails are in the Inbox.
