I downloaded this software because it was supposed to be one of the best. After 3 days of trying to get Thunderbird to work I'm still at a loss. I couldn't get version 102.0.3 to store my smtp password and it wouldn't send emails if I clicked on "save password". I've looked at all your support articles on sending and receiving emails. As a truly unhappy camper I'm ready to ditch this software and get something more reliable. I have a new computer running Windows 11.

This isn't really for the community but I can't find a place to complain about the product and it's inability to run. I've been in IT for over 35 years so I know what I'm doing.

I'm 99% sure it's not a password problem as I have other mail clients that work fine: Outlook 2019, Edison Mail, and the default email on iPad. There was a file folder that wasn't deleted when I did the uninstalls. I removed that folder and contents, reinstalled version 102.0.3 deleted any old account information, created my existing email account, and low and behold everything seems to work now. The smtp password is stored and I got all the new mail in my server. Thank you for your assistance.

It may help if you share your email account info and your server settings. For example, we see many complaints posted here about Thunderbird not handling password properly when, in truth, the issue is usually that a number of popular email hosts (I'm looking at you, Gmail) require a different password for an email client than the password used for web access. If you would like assistance, just ask.
