after system restor my book marks are gone, how do i get them back?

opened a web page for news and my page started locking up. did a system restore and now my book marks are gone. yahoo is my prefered home page and i use firefox as a web browzer.

You should always be cautious when you do a system restore and backup your personal data on beforehand.

Do you have compressed .jsonlz4 backups in the bookmarkbackups folder?

  • Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore

Are you still using the same Firefox profile and still have your extensions and settings in you made in options?

You can check if you have orphaned profiles that aren't registered in profiles.ini and that do not show in the Firefox Profile Manager. You can check that by opening the current profile folder and go up one level.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
