I've recently updated to 92.0.1 and I've noticed that when I download a PDF attachment or file that firefox opens in a new tab rather than using the default adobe program. I've looked at settings and applications and changed to to "always ask" but I don t get any option to use adobe to open it or any other program. Also it seems to save the file in the downloads folder as a "firefox html document" and not a pdf file

In the current version of Firefox, if (which is very rare) I go and open more than 17 tabs, some go off the one end of the top of the screen, and I must scroll over to find them. If I remember, on a very old version it was either 15 or 11 tabs before that happened.

Is there a way for me to change the 'limit number of tabs before they go off the end'? I would rather like to do that, but I have not found how. I would be most grateful if you can help.

Thanks,

Peter

I found the following css for highlighting all context menu items for Firefox 91 ESR (not working on side-bar items from hamburger menu) /*************************** Highlight context menu items

                                                      • /

menu[_moz-menuactive="true"], menuitem[_moz-menuactive="true"] {

 background-color: #e8eefd !important;  /* blue 95% lighter */
 color: #3d3dff !important; /* blue 62% darker */
 /* https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp */

}

How do I apply the same highlighting shown by the red arrow to the text where grey and heavy blue is used for highlighting? I find css very convoluted and it's hard for me to know what ids/parameters to use to get the desired effects. Any help appreciated. https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2021-11-02-08-41-28-04f021.png https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2021-11-02-08-41-46-9a2c8b.png

I've had 4 different Firefox windows for months now or even more than a year. I use two monitors and I use lots of tabs. It has been easier for me until now to organize like that. I have 3 Firefox windows on my main monitor - one of them has like 10 tabs open. The other has 5. And the third one had maybe around 100. On the other monitor I have the last 4th Firefox window that has around 500 tabs open. I do this all the time where I get to a point in which I review them all in a day or two, filtrate thru the content I saved thru this method and after that reset the browser. So today I started this cleaning process with the 3rd window that had over 100 tabs. Was going great when suddenly I clicked the X button on the whole window and without any warning it instantly closed. I restarted the computer and nothing happened. All my information from over 100 tabs now gone forever and honestly this might sound funny to you but I'm literally having a panic attack right now having difficulties breathing. Before when it happened at times that I click the close button on these windows it always asked me a warning message if I want to close the window with these X tabs. No matter if the tabs are 10, 100 or 800. Always. No matter how many windows I have opened with different tabs in them. I immediately checked my settings and I see that "Confirm before closing multiple tabs" wasn't turned on which like NO WAY IN HELL did I go in the settings menu and turned that thing off. I haven't been in the settings menu since I installed firefox on this PC which was after I got my Windows OS like 2 years ago. And as I said I remember multiple times in these past months where I clicked the close button and it asks me if I want to close these X multiple tabs. So I dunno how that happened. Also I had the "Open previous windows and tabs" TURNED ON but that also didn't work apparently for some reason. So I'm not really sure what question I want to ask here, I guess I want some explanation why these things happened when clearly they shouldn't have and it wasn't my fault/mistake (from my point of view considering the facts). And also if there is any way to restore that window with the closed tabs.

Can't restore previous session tabs after Firefox crash using Firefox 95 on Mac

I have consulted https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-restore-my-tabs-last-time. That article says:

-Click on the menu button [three lines at the upper right] to open the menu panel. -Click History. -Click Recently Closed Tabs.

I am using Firefox 95.0.2 for Mac (iOS 10.15.7). There is no "Recently Closed Tabs" option to click after clicking on History per the above instruction. I have saved various files from the time of the crash, in particular "previous.jsonlz4" (a 20.6 MB file, as I had a very large number of tabs open). Is there any way to use this or some other file to restore my old tabs?

/moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Firefox (desktop) section as you have macOS.

Hello Support,

I'm dying inside right now. I had over 400 tabs open and launched a second instance of Firefox. After that I closed the first instance and restarted my computer. Now the 400 tabs are gone and even with "Restore session" I have no success. Is there any way to restore the tabs no matter how?
