Hello,
See how to customize and cofigure the new tab page:
EDIT:An old question:

My mistake. I submitted the question from my Android phone and I was referring to the Android mobile version of Firefox, which also has this "Top Sites" feature that I don't want. I was hoping to turn it off there as well.
hello ubizmo, you cannot get rid of the site as it is an integral part of firefox for android, but you can pin your custom sites to the top 6 screenshot-section, by long-taping on a bookmark or history entry...
What about the bookmarks that appear under the Top Sites tiles in the mobile app? Do they have to be there? It seems to me we have a Bookmarks tab for that. It would be more organized to have all the bookmarks in one place, under the Bookmarks tab. Is that not possible?
