How do I get rid of Dingo Deals pop ups?

At most all retail sites when viewing an item there are pop ups advertising the same product from other dealers. Even at Amazon I see comps at Walmart. The pops come from something called Dingo Deals. I use AVG and Malwarebytes and Adblock and none of these applications find and remove Dingo.

hello dashengst, the tubedimmer addon that you have installed seems to be adware. try to remove or disable it and run a scan with adwcleaner.

Dingo Deals appears to be a separate application installed on your system by another item added to your system or your add-ons. You should (in the following order):

  1. uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs/Features (or Add/Remove Programs)
  2. uninstall it from your Firefox add-ons
  3. for thorough scan and removal download, install, update and run (free):
    • AdwCleaner
    • Malwarebytes
    • Hitman Pro

I received Phillipe's suggestion first and tried it and it worked perfectly. As you suggest I will try a scan with adwcleaner for future protection. Thank you dashengst

Thank you. Your suggestion fixed the problem. How did you know I had the tube dimmer ad on? It has been removed. I don't really know how I got or what it does. It must have been recommended by Mozilla?

hello dashengst, i noticed the addon, because you have included your troubleshooting information with your question (accessible through More system details on the right of the page) and when you google it, there are lots of indications coming up that it is adware...

this is certainly nothing that is recommended or condoned by mozilla - most probably you've got installed on your system involuntarily as a bundled download to another third-party software: How did this happen?

I don't have tube dimmer as an add-on and recently I've started getting the Hot Deals pop-up on every single shopping site I use. It does not show up as a program either. In trying to find a solution, I see that I'm not alone! Any ideas?
