Constantly crashes. Was fine yesterday and nothing has changed. Eveything is the latest version. Had to go back to IE. Pathetic

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox location bar (that's where you enter your website names) and press Enter. You should now see a list of submitted crash reports.
- Copy the most recent 5 report IDs that you see in the crash report window and paste them into your forum response.
Thanks in advance for your help!
More information and further troubleshooting steps can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
Hi Tazzy2,
Sorry you are having problems. Lets see if we can sort this out so that Firefox works again.
Please read the troubleshooting tips in this aricle
If you do continue getting crashes then try firefox in safe mode, by holding the shift key as Firefox starts; and for a potential quick fix consider the reset option
If your crashes are immediate on startup, even after trying safemode and a reset you will need to reinstall Firefox. Use another browser to obtain Firefox from
Note that if you need to investigate the cause of crashes you will need to navigate to about:crashes and paste into your next reply a couple of recent Crash IDs (As explained in the first linked article.)
Please post back with how you get on
Cheers, John

A restart does not work and a reinstall loses all my bookmarks and personal settings. I have gone through a reinstall before so why should I do it again?
A restart loses my personal settings and it still crashes so not at all happy
Crashed twice while writing this

Back up your Bookmarks, and backup your profile first if you wish, it is good practice anyway to backup such things.
An ordinary re-install will NOT loose your bookmarks; as long as you do NOT use any option from Windows or Firefox that offer to delete personal settings. (because those do destroy settings, bookmarks and passwords.)
- see back up your bookmarks or move them to another computer
- and back up and restore information in Firefox profiles that is easier to do if Firefox is running, but can still be done if Firefox crashes.
I have gone through a reinstall before so why should I do it again?
IF you have a startup crash you probably have few or no other options
I will check if the Crash ID s give any clues, that I understand.
Done all you suggested and still crashing. now well fed up
Crashed twice writing this so a big thumbs down
Modified
The crash reports that you posted above were not found on the server and probably weren't submitted.
Do you have recent crash reports that were submitted?
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Mozilla+Crash+Reporter
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Crash_Reporter#Location_of_crash_reports
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mozilla_Crash_Reporter#Viewing_crash_reports
See:
Crash ID s if they are submitted will have a prefix
bp-
They are of the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxyymmdd an (old) example
bp-2cb08da8-80a8-450e-8ed7-2b9262120320
The x represents a single (hex) character and the final six characters are a date stamp
edit Sorry I am replying in the wrong thread !Maybe you could have a look at yours again, they may not be the expected format, so it seems possible you may not have copied them correctly.
Modified
It would be easier to give a few direct links to the crash reports.
No option to submit so unless submitted automatically (if not a feature of Firefox it should be) will not have.
No idea how to get direct links
The crash report links are on the about:crashes page
