my browser doesn't save previous urls. I have to retype google.com for example every time I want to go to google

With explorer (which I do not prefer over firefox) every time I start to type in a website it automatically brings up previous websites I've typed in....not with firefox. I have to retype the entire website everytime I want to visit it. This happens with numerous sites. I wonder if firefox is intentionally ignoring certain sites?

Hi,

You may have to make sure that Remember history beside Firefox will is selected, or if Use custom settings for history is the current option, Remember my browsing history below should be selected in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy. Options > Privacy

Please note that history is not preserved if you use Private Browsing.
