Firefox for Mac constantly brings browser to foreground

I'm running Mac OS Lion with the latest Firefox for Mac OS and when I have Firefox running, it brings all its windows forward constantly about every 10 seconds. I cannot have a browser open and work on an application over it without the browser coming forward and grabbing focus. I have to minimize the browser to keep it from happening - even if I have the browser off to the side, it will still grab keyboard focus away from my other applications.
