how do i update firefox on my hp netbook when in HP QuickWeb mode?

every time i boot-up into QuickWeb (linux based os) I am informed that i am using an old version of firefox that may not be supported and therefore may be susceptible to viruses. Additionally, when I am gmail i am told that certain functions may not be supported because I have an older version of firefox, but can't figure out how to update firefox
