On return to Firefox Browser, says "can't, since Browser is running. Why?

I open browser, Mozilla Firefox, and use it. Then I go to E-Mail, and apon returning to Firefox Browser, a message says I must restart the computer to be able to use Firefox Mozilla browser. If I return and go to Internet Explorer, it opens its browser OK.

Why can't I return, and utilize, Firefox Mozila browser similarly?
