Have you tried re-installing the toolbar?

If re-installing the toolbar does not work, some files taht store details of installed extensions may be corrupt, you can try removing those files, for details see corrupt extension files.

i tied several times. instillation stops when about 80% complete. even did a system restore [ aug 8 ] any oter advice ? ty
