Firefox opens two windows at a time and sends duplicate emails

Since I downloaded Firefox 3.6 for my iMac v 10.5.8, duplicates of my emails are going out and every time I preview in Dreamweaver, Firefox opens two windows: my DW page and my Firefox homepage. Also, my contacts in my email, sonic.net, don't display.
