Why doesn’t FF use the same Favicon displayed in the tab?

A number of websites (GitHub being one of them) loads the correct corresponding favicon in the tab (in this case the all white icon since I have the dark theme as preferred) but upon bookmarking the website it seems to use a default icon (not the one displayed on the tab).

Example: https://almanac.httparchive.org/en/2022/ User response: Both the Icon in the tab and icon upon bookmark are completely different!
