Prefences doesn't work in version 91. Not responding then crashes and will not send report!
Finally got it to open with 91.1. As the font is too small for me to read I tried to make it larger but get a blank page and"not responding"! When I leave it it crashes but there is always a problem sending crash reports.

I backed up my profile, uninstalled and deleted every incidence of thunderbird files and folders, restarted PC. re-installed and copied my old profile folder to the same folder as the new one, copied the contents of the new profile into a new folder, renamed the new profile by adding a couple of digits, then renamed my old profile folder with the name given to the new profile.
I still can't read the tiny font in some emails despite having the set the legible font and size!!

You likely have a language pack installed. If you need to get into preferences, disabling or removing the pack should help until the issue is properly fixed.
p.s. what do you mean, "there is always a problem sending crash reports"?
