Unstable default search engine

hello, For some time (version 78.8.0 at least), the default search engine I have selected (DuckDukgo) does not always remain in memory in "my preferences". It goes in a random way to Yahoo, even when I delete the browserdefault from the list of accessible search engines. I had the same problem in 2020 when a Firefox version change. The problem had been solved when moving to a later version. Is there a solution ? thank you best regards Jean Paul
