Alt-Tab while Dragging File - File Dropped Instantly

When I try to drag a file to a firefox window which can accept files (e.g. Overleaf, online pdf editors, Google Drive, etc.) the file is immediately "dropped" when I Alt-Tab from Windows Explorer to Firefox. By "dropped" I mean that Firefox will act as if I let up on the left mouse button and immediately try to process the file.

If, in Overleaf for example, my cursor isn't over the file acceptance box when I let go of Alt+Tab to get to Firefox, then the file won't register as uploaded. If I'm on a random Firefox tab, the tab will redirect to opening the file if it's supported (i.e. a PDF will open the PDF viewer).

Firefox version is 76.0.1 (64-bit). Safe-Mode does not fix the issue.

The issue also applies to dragging freshly downloaded files from Firefox to another window (e.g. Windows Explorer). As soon as Alt-Tab is hit, the file is treated like it was dropped in Firefox and the drag fails.
