So you refreshed Firefox, and things were working, then they stopped working? Did you change anything, install any software, change any settings?
Is this only happening when you try to log into comcast? Or is it every website you visit?

Hi mdm54, that message can be caused by "policies" being set for your Firefox. As you are probably not using a computer managed by an IT department, the sudden appearance of these policies is suspicious.
I'm not sure of the quickest way to track those down, but as a starting point, please check for a folder named distribution in your Firefox program folder. This folder doesn't come with Firefox, but can be used to apply restrictions to Firefox. It would be either:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\distribution
If you find that folder, check inside for a file named policies.json or whatever else might be in there.
I am using a computer and onece i find that policies jso what do i do with it do i delete it
not not y an IT
so what dop i do if i see thtat do i delte it
i se nothing that say distribution
awe yes i do see itdependentlibs.list
Okay, you do not have that folder. I don't know where the registry keys for Firefox policies are. Another support volunteer might know.
tried to delete it but could not get back to you i had to put it back into firefox
yes i have it i didnt see it at first
no distribution file in there no no policies file either
no where do i see distrabution in the firefox program files
every thing works i just do not know what organization they mean
i am not in ny organization tried delete ing some add on and still it says it
