Every website returns "Your connection is not secure"
The obvious response is; • Check that your clock is correct (why wouldn't it be?) • There is a problem with your firewall/proxy/anti-virus
But it is a strange coincidence that everything was working fine when I shut down the computer before retiring for the night… And this morning, on startup, Firefox installs an upgrade, and now every site is blocked.
Coincidence? Hmmm.

hi, unfortunately this is likely due to your avast/avg security software tampering with encrypted connections. please either try to reinstall your security software or else follow the more specific steps for it at How to troubleshoot security error codes on secure websites.
It is interesting as soon as Firefox has an upgrade, it tampers with security software to block its own access to the internet.
Other browsers are working fine. I switched to a Chromium browser, and site access is fine. So this would confirm your theory that the Firefox installer adjusts security software to block itself?
Aside from Chromium, other applications are also running fine like the Email client and the RSS Feed reader.
And also, this is not the first report of this problem. I guess when enough people report it, I guess someone may see if there is a problem with this morning's Firefox upgrade.
A boilerplate response is not very helpful.
