Firefox set back certain setting (Search engine ) and add ons (disconnect)

Hey guys,

I am on 2014 Macbook Pro with MacOs Mojave installed. since the last update (63.0) Firefox seems to have changed some profile settings. Each time I restart Firefox Google is the standard search engine but it should be Startpage (I installed the add-on) - https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/user/ixquick4810102/

Also disconnect add on has all settings set back to standard. Worst of it all it seems the 'Avira safe browsing' add on can't get deinstalled at all - as there is no delte button (see screenshot)

I tried everything - started with deactivated addons - pressed the Reset Firefox" button - completly deinstalled Firefox incl. /Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/, etc...

I am honestly out of ideas.

This is really annoying as I have to switch my search engine everytime, need to change the disconnect settings. Not even speaking about a add on which I can't delete..

I am thnakful for any ideas or help
