I am using a script to performance test on my website but every time I run the test, the first url is getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net. Does not affect anything, but screws up my test results. This url returns me a First Byte = 0 which is obviously wrong. How can I disable this feature for ever from Firefox. Please note that these are automated tests which open the browser fresh and I need something either permanently removed from Firefox or some configuration that when sent to firefox disables this feature.

I am using Firefox version 61.

Are you using the same profile each time, so you could make a setting change interactively and expect it to stick?

If you can't modify the profile, I don't think there is a command-line preference for this, you might need to use an Autoconfig file.

Are you using Selenium? I think there probably is a better forum for asking about how to configure Firefox in that scenario.

Thanks for prompt reply. I am using WebPageTest and it uses its own profile everytime. I have asked them to add the `extensions.pocket.enabled=FALSE` in their profile. Is that the only setting that we have to set to FALSE. If no, please let me know what other settings I should ask them to add.

I don't think that one is relevant. When you turn off Pocket Recommendations on the New Tab Page/Fx Home page, this is set to false:

browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.section.topstories

Tried this as well.. but it does not solve the issue.. I am still hitting `getpocket.cdn.mozilla.net` before the actual website that I am trying to hit.

A search on about:config comes up with this pref with a value in JSON format.
