i want to make sure my Firefox stays the same when Windows 10 is installed

i see from just typing in Windows 10 that lots of things can go wrong with Firefox. i want to know what steps to take to make the transition as smooth as possible. the answers can be technical since it is for my work computer and i'll just give the info to the tech doing the upgrade. i do have a Firefox sync account. When i switched to a new location and computer at work the transition was smooth because i just logged in and synced. i want to know how to do the same with Windows 10 upgrade since it will kinda be like a new computer.

Do not rely on Firefox Sync is is not designed for that sort of thing it is expected to be used syncing between different devices not as a backup or as a method of installing Firefox.

Back up your Firefox profile on the System you are upgrading and make sure that backup will be available after the upgrade and that if you have multiple Firefox users you have backed up all the accounts. Please see
