What are old Firefox sessionstore-n.js files?

Being a tidy person -- and no matter how comodious my computer's hard drive -- I'm always keen to clear out unused old junk and anything else no longer of use.

So, while glancing at my profile folder contents, I noticed 16 session-n.js files (where n is a number from 1-16). The dates on these are from 2009 to 2012, so I assume they're all expendable junk.

It's safe to delete, these, correct?

hi K2nc2016, those *-n.js files are usually created when firefox has no write-access to the file it actually wants to change. in this case you can totally purge these old files, the sessionstore files are used to retain your session after you close and reopen the browser - i guess you don't have any need for a backup of those which is years old...
