What is chum search.com and why is it popping up on the privacy setting? How do I get it out of your search bar? Chum search locks up my whole computer why is

Your chum search.com pop up, in or out of the privacy window is keeping me out of any search at all. Where is it and how do I remove it from your search bars? Deleting it doesn't work.

Hi, it's browser hijacking malware - and nothing to do with Firefox, which is unusual to see on a Mac, but you can try running this free removal program -

https://www.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/mac/index.html

After removal you may need to reset your home page and search, which you can do by running the add-on SearchReset.
