When attempting to transmit email error msg indicates server timed out. Using verizon web mail. Help!

what does this have to do with Thunderbird?

Verizon blaming Thunderbird. More research and getting to supervisor at Verizon led to conclusion that verizon supplied modem causing speed problem. Verizon shipping new modem that should arrive friday. When installed will advise if problem fixed.
