Somewhere in the flow of improvements I can't find out how to stop web sites from spawning child browser windows any more
I don't like web sites that decide that they MUST open a child browser window to do whatever they want to. I once was able to block this. If that block capability is still present, I sure can't find it.
Further, I don't like them deciding that I simply MUST see their video, listen to their audio or otherwise let them do things that I don't want to give them the capability of doing. Once upon a time many versions ago, I could block all these things. If those are available, I sure can't find them either.

Some are ads. But Yahoo insists on opening children windows for some of their partners rather than opening a tab; sometimes in addition to opening a tab. And, Yahoo is one of the worst offenders but far from the only one in starting audio or video. Flash block seems to kill those. I think that Adblock stops the children windows for the ones that I tried. But, there may be some that Adblock won't handle. If there are, I'll be opening a new support question and include the window link and how I got there. It got unbearable yesterday and I just now got back to my computer to work on it. I know that over the passage of years, I lost the ability to use a lot of plugins as Firefox version changes required plugin changes so that I turned them off and forgot about them :-(. And, I don't even remember where or how I found all of them.
