Hi, I am looking to add one folder to my receptionist's Thunderbird... Just to try and make some sense of it....

I have j@domain.co.uk and she has d@domain.co.uk

She has d@ set up on her computer and I have j@ and d@ on mine. Under j@ I have a folder called Todo. I want to give her access to the file todo but not my inbox or any other folders. Is this doable?

Thanks, Jamie

My guess is not.

I assume your using IMAP and in that case it is an entire mail address or nothing. I am not aware of an IMAP server implementation that offers that sort of fine grained authorities. Domino and Exchange are not IMAP implementations but they are the product I am familiar with that do offer such fine grained access control.

You could create the account on her machine, and only subscribe to that folder, but that offers no guarantee that the subscription will not be changed.

An alternative is to use a third IMAP mail account which you both have access to. Again only subscribe the single folder that contains the todo information.
