despite following the program instructions I cannot get rid of the search engine Startmysearch. please help.
I have Start my search start as soon as I open Firefox. I ran malwarebytes to get rid of unwanted programs, and this cleared this particularly annoying bar from starting in all browsers except Firefox (the browser I use most!). I reset MSN as my homepage, and set my homepage to open when I start Firefox. Guess what? When I open Firefox, Start my search opens! MSN is still my home page, but despite followong all the instructions from Start my search I CANNOT get rid of it. Can anyone help please!

Thank you for your help. The only way I could get rid of it, after going through all your suggestions was to uninstall firefox, delete every file and folder I could find to do withe My stare search on my hard drive, then reinstall firefox. The files and folders were not easy to delete either!!!

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Flash; Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.
