I'm facing a weird problem in mozilla firefox. It's eating data even though i don't use it. Even when using m.facebook.com , it's continuously using data even if no page is loading. Never faced this earlier. Images are off, health reporting and anonimous data off, updates off, all plugin and add ons disabled, their updates disabled, but still, it's using data. Uninstalled, tried different versions including 20, 21, 31 etc. Still the problem is there. Anybody else facing this? Btw, im using windows 7. Maintenance service is off. Still using data. Just opening ff will start the data usage. What's wrong?

I understand that data is being used when you are not using an app. It is possible that it is open and still running in the background and you can force stop it in the Android Task Manager. However if this is not the case you can check to see if the app is sending Telemetry data from the Settings menu. Firefox Health Report - understand your browser performance

Is this about increasing the memory usage or about internet usage (sending or receiving data)?
