I used the Export tool thinking All my email files would be exported, not true! Only your "Profile" is exported! The export tool does not include your "Local" folder! This is wrong! The export tool should export everything! "The best way to learn -- is learn the Hard Way" -mdc

Hi, As the title suggests, I am unable to delete emails from my work Microsoft account.

On attempting to delete an email, the following message is displayed:

"The current operation on "Inbox" did not succeed. The mail server for account [email] responded: [TRYCREATE] The destination mailbox could not be found."

Checking the account settings, it seems Thunderbird cannot see the "Deleted Items" folder (it only shows Inbox and Drafts). I have attached images to show what I mean, comparing with a personal Microsoft/Outlook account where it sends deleted email to the correct place.

Using the latest Thunderbird version that is available on the Microsoft Store version on Windows 11. (115.9.0) I have tried removing and re-adding the account yet the problem persists. Any troubleshooting ideas welcome!

It's pretty self explanatory. I have three different email address configured within Thunderbird and it does not recognize any of them as "Me". Within each account, they are displayed like anyone else's email.

Been using TB for over a decade and cannot for the life of me figure this out.

Hi. My hard drive crashed. I have a new pc and the old drive is readable in a drive enclosure hooked up to new PC via usb. I have done the typical search for the appdata profile file, but I am not sure what I have here. I have attached a screenshot of the old drive and a global search on "Thunderbird". I am not sure where the profile file is residing. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi I decided to donate so I could get rid of the automatic start of my browser showing the request for donation screen whenever I open Thunderbird. Even though I received the confirmation that I successfully donated, I still get the annoying request for donation. How do I stop the auto load of the browser?

Hello Thunderbird users!

Today my father lost all the sub folders below the folder Archives. Doe anybody know how to get them back?

I tried the following:

• Clicked on Folder Modes -> All Folders
• Tried the solution mentioned here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Local_Folders

The strange thing is I also don't see any .sbd or .msf files, with one of the names he mentions, under the directory Mail (in the profile directory). How can they suddenly disappear or be deleted?

If someone knows how to get the folders (with the e-mails) back, that would be very much appreciated!

I received a message with the remark "This message contains an invitation to an event." What follows is several screens of metadata (that's what I think it's called), followed by the original note from the sender. Is there a way for me to suppress all this metadata? When I forward the message to a friend who has an iPad, it shows up without the metadata. I'd like that to be the situation when I use Thunderbird.

I've attached a screen shot of a portion of what I've called "metadata". I didn't include the very top of this metadata because it contains personal data.

Sometimes a mail comes in, a notification sound is played - but no notification pops up (Thunderbird notification).

How come?

The mail comes in normally and arrives in the inbox - it has no filter settings.

I want to search a local folder and all its subfolders using eg "Match all of the following" but I could not find how to get a search containing these modes. After over half an hour I have found that the term I was looking for is "advanced search", available via a keyboard shortcut. I cannot possibly remember keyboard shortcuts, why do I have to log on to my Mozilla account just to find out how to do it? There should be a comprehensive user manual that I can download for looking up this sort of thing offline?

Each time I open Thunderbird email, a page on firefox opens requesting a donation. This has been going on for weeks. I reached out to Thunderbird, and all suggestions have failed to resolve the problem. Most recently I was instructed to submit the problem here. I hope this is sufficient for requesting assistance. This question was asked before but no one gave a reasonable answer. I use Thunderbird to download emails from two live.com accounts. The old version had a split screen with the list of emails for the account being viewed in the top half and a preview of the actual email being viewed in the bottom half along with action buttons such as delete. This supposedly also kept viruses from being downloaded until the email was actually downloaded. This made deleting a series of emails very easy. The version I downloaded today doesn't have the split screen. I have to actually open each email to delete it. Very time consuming. How can I set up the old format in the new version?

Opened TB 115.11.0 (64 bit) this am A compact procedure started up. I am now left with a message whose subject is quite different from the content The next message has just come through - apparently no problem, but the original error remains. See screenshot. Not sure what to do next!

I'm a thunderbird user. I've been getting large blocks of 40 or 50 old (4-5 months old) emails in the middle of the current emails. I delete them, but they're still in their original location.

It is supposed that all emails (received & sent) are saved locally in Thunderbrid. I moved my hosting account from one provider to the other provider, I setup same email address as i had with the previous provider and also using in the Thunderbrid. I could still see all the emails but Thunderbird asked me for a new password. Things were ok up to this point but when i entered the new password, all of a sudden all the emails of that account disappeared. Surprisingly when i try to search something using search toolbox, Thunderbird shows me result from all the emails that are disappeared.

I believe emails are still there but disappeared due to some glitch & that need to be fixed in the code. Can anyone please provide me a work around or development can fix this bug & release a new version ?
