The quick search used to work wonderfully. With the recent updates, it works very slowly and takes a few minutes to display the request. I already fixed my inbox, but I continue having the same problem. I appreciate any suggestions.

hi there, on left side of Thunderbird = categories are items/words/possebilities = sent and drafts ...twice (one under the same). I installed Thunderbird also on a second computer ...and again the two words are twice present ! absolutly creasy to me and no solution at all to find anywhere. Please advice. I have numerous 1and1 domain IMAP based email addresses and use Thunderbird as main email program to retrieve and review my emails. However, some of the accounts setup in Thunderbird which have IMAP based servers are removing/deleting the email from the server on syncing. Its really frustrating on why some are doing this and the other do not.

I don't want ANY of my IMPA email servers having emails deleting, its why I use IMPA so I can review the emails on phone, tablet or via WebUI when away from home.

Thunderbird version is 115.14.0 (64-bit)

Please can you advise how I can fix this?

Running W10 on PC, no problems on other programs, on TB for at least 10 yrs. For past week TB has taken up to 15 seconds to delete or send some messages (not all). I thought this might be 3,500 messages in Sent folder so deleted oldest half of these. No difference, then I noticed that TB has deleted all my sent messages since May this year. Now it won't put my sent messages into the sent folder, they just disappear, and TB still delays on deleting or sending. Have tried repair button on inbox and sentbox, no difference. My wife remains on 115.14.0 without problems (so far!) I have just seen that v.128 has self-installed, could this be the problem?

Hy ! The version of TB y run is 128.1.0esr (32 bits) under Windows 10. I am a user since 2005. Under "disk space in "local folders", I have (translated) " never delete messages"

While seaching old messages, I just discovered that, although theses messages appear in the list of messages of local folders, there is a lot of theses local folders where, when I click on a message in the list, a window opens whith an empty content.

This does not occur the same way for all the folders : for example, in one of them, the messages dated 2005 do not open (they appear in an empty window), while messages dated 2006 and earlier open as usual. Other example, in another folder, containing messages dated 2008 to 2010, not any opens in another way than an empty window.

I have tried to ask my question in the mozilla forum the 15 th august, but no answer. That is why I try on this site. I have translated here the question I posted on the mozilla forum in French, my native langage, and I hope it will be understandable ...

I have no trouble to log in to outlook.com but thunderbird says its the wrong password, Ihave changed it 3 times and it still says wrong password, I like thunderbird but don't understsnd what is wrong at the moment.

Thunderbird is set to flag a message as unread only after 10 sec of reading. Sometimes I delete a message before this time and Thunderbird still notify me that there are unread message also if the inbox has not unread message. The issue will persist if I don't restart Thunderbird or if I don't find that deleted message and set it to read.

Only Thunderbird gives this issue, other email client don't notify me about unread message if i delete a message but still be flagged as unread.

Any solution to have unread notification only for inbox? Thanks.

I was moving messages to folders from inbox and suddenly Thunderbird was only listing unread messages in all folders. I must have accidentally turned something off. Can you help me? This is rather urgent.

Hi, I've used Thunderbird on Linux for about 20 years and it has worked flawlessly connecting to my ISP mail for both sending and receiving messages. About 2 weeks ago I tried to send a mail and got an internal error back from the ISP SMTP server that the message was being blocked as possible spam. POP continued to work fine.

I tried renaming my local .thunderbird directory and downloading the latest version of Thunderbird to try a fresh install. It behaved exactly the same way.

The frustrating thing is that KMail, an alternate Linux mailer works fine with the exact settings that fail on Thunderbird. I can also send mail from my phone when connected to the same ISP wifi as the Linux machine.

I am not sending out messages to large groups of recipients. It will fail (but work in Kmail and K9Mail on Android) with a trivial test message to myself.

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this? I like Thunderbird but can't use it if I can never send mail.

Apologies if this has been discussed before here, but in Thunderbird 128.1.0esr (64-bit) the All Events option is missing for calendar searches, which means it is no longer possible to search past events, see screenshot.

Hopefully the All Events option will be reintroduced soon?

I accidentally activated the OneDrive sync. After the mail directory were uploaded to the OneDrive cloud, thunderbird mail can only see each new mail title, but I cannot open these mails after I double click into them. It will just come back as directory and file not found. In other words, the paths are valid, but I can only see title without the preview nor the content of the emails.

File not found The file mailbox:///C:/Users/XXXXXX/MozillaMail/xxxxxx/Inbox?number=2704 cannot be found. Please check the location and try again.

Are there no Add-ons/Extensions any more (115 and beyond) that support any kind of sync with Google/Yahoo/Outlook contacts? Not sure MS Outlook even supports such a thing any more, some kind of vulns in the CardDAV protocol (worked great in 2005-10 era)?

Also, like to report major bugs in the CSV import mechanism, the VCF import got everything right, but the CSV import interface is beyond kludgey; essentially put the columns in the wrong places, and the "dropdowns" had only one value, that the import routine had decided I was constrained to. I would suggest you drop it from the product unless it can be made a bit more "professional" than a junior school computer science project.

I would like to see the sender's email address in lieu of a name.

The inbox SELECT COLUMNS TO DISPLAY does not offer an option to DISPLAY THE SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS.

Both From and Correspondents display the same names. Perhaps replacing one of those with the SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS?

Somehow I was running an unsupported ver 129 on a Win 10 system, not sure how. I was getting a warning message at startup. I decided to install the latest supported ver 128. I did that over the ver I was running and did not save, export or rename anything. Just one install over the other. I have lost my calendar that I spent months building. Did I lose it? Any possibility it is still around hiding somewhere? Help please, but I am prepared for the worst for being hasty in my decision. Cheers, TR
