I've recently began to experience some pretty nasty behavior of firefox on android. After some time of using the browser (with closing the app in between), The screen starts to flicker (on every website) and the app becomes unusable. I have to force stop the app for it to work for a while again, until it starts flickering again. I have few theories myself (Something wrong with the web-engine, or garbage collector perhaps?) but I don't know how true they are. I did recently update to Android 14 and didn't see this behavior beforehand. I can't show a demonstration because I can't attach video's. Can I post a link to a video?

I have a Chromebook, after entering the name of the collection and trying to add a page, I click enter on the keyboard and nothing happens, I tried both the physical and touch screens keyboard, it worked normally before. How i can fix this? I have newest version firefox android.

Since I've installed the latest Samsung OneUI6/Android 14, Firefox keeps crashing randomly. There was a firefox update after (120.1.0, build #2015989146), but same behavior. When opening accessing a new url (either new tab or existing tab). No message displayed, simply closes. Everything is up to date, non rooted galaxy S23 ultra with Android 14/OneUI 6. Already cleared firefox app cache, uninstalled and reinstalled (this worked for a few hours, but it's back to same behavior).

Any ideas?

When I launch the firefox app after installing it from Google Play, it is about to start (homepage appears) but then closes immediately and returns to the home screen. Even I haven't set anything in it yet uh...

my phone details: POCO X5 5G, with MIUI EU 14 (android13), rooted

Hello, This may be a wordful but please do consider reading.

Recently im having problems with firefox android. Im on Galaxy Tab S9. When playing youtube videos in landscape mode, there would be elements (thumbnails, texts) overlapping as if they were layered. I tried using different versions of firefox(beta, nightly, fennec) without addons, with default settings and fresh installs but all of them exhibit same problem. I tested on duckduckgo and chrome but theres no distortion. It means that its the problem with firefox.

Another find is that, there is no distortion when im using youtube without logging in. The problem occurs when i log in to youtube. I tried with different youtube accounts and they all have same problem on firefox. Also, when playing videos and if i clear cache and cookies of youtube from address bar, it logs me out of youtube and the distortion is gone as well.

Things I have already tried: 1. Clearing cache, cookies of website, browser. 2. Clearing data, cache of app, uninstalling 3. Using default settings without addons 4. Fresh installs of different versions 5. Deleted firefox folder from android/data/mozilla in hope of clearing corrupt cookies (dunno if really got deleted) 6. Using different account for youtube

Funny thing is problem goes away after logging out of youtube but it shouldn't be a solution. I would appreciate your time, possible solutions for this dumb problem.

Noticed my phone having terrible battery life, from battery usage you can see that Firefox is highly likely one of the main culprits. I have observed the same over a few days on the last two Firefox builds. It seems that it's not respecting the "Restricted" battery usage in Android (or Android is not restricting it, I have no idea), but you can see today's battery usage linked here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/pMByjqq6Q5GigcQu8

Every time I use the voice input option it does not automatically pop up as it does on Chrome and used to in the past. Also once I'm done with the voice input it and hit the back button, it does not close out and return to keyboard as it used to and does in chrome.

I also tried on Firefox nightly installed on my work profile and it's the same thing. So it seems to be across the board with Firefox.

Whenever I try to properly use the Firefox browser: I get a "download Firefox page"!! I already have a recent mozilla / Firefox account! WHAT CAN Mozilla DO TO FIX THIS PROBLEM? & WHEN? When I'm going to full screen video - I'm got control buttons on the screen. It's happened 2 weeks ago and go on to this day. Phone control gistogram button's don't hide, I'm trying everything to fix it (( Some time it's don't showing, but not now - it's on the screen - no matter what sites or player on this site ((

I used the Firefox mobile app for a while now and I noticed a high battery usage from it. If 10% of battery gets drained during the night, at least 75% of that is used by Firefox (according to the battery stats of my Pixel 6)

Is it possible to slow down the background sync or maybe dont sync at all during the night if the phone is locked?

Hello, i have a problem since yesterday afternoon, google.com always loads to a blank page as you can see in the screenshot bellow.

Fixes I tried: -Deleted cache within android app management. (Firefox cache) -Deleted cache within firefox

-reinstalled app.

I get a blank white screen when I access https://www.google.com on Firefox for Android Started about 1 hour ago

Switch to a different connection - error still occurs Switch from Firefox to Firefox Focus - error still occurs Clearing cache and cookies - error still occurs

Going to https://one.google.com works Typing in the search bar and viewing the search results works Accessing all other URLs works

Accessing https://www.google.com on Chrome works

How do I resolve the issue?

I've been using Firefox on my phone for about half a year, rarely updating the browser. I did it first time approximately 2 weeks ago and since then it started to crash frequently. The latest update hasn't resolved the issue.

Setup: - galaxy S23+ - latest Android version (13) - Firefox version 121.0.1 (Build #2015995071), fd4d251332+ GV: 121.0.1-20231230165955 AS: 121.0

I have more than 100+ tabs opened with a setting activated "Close tab: Never" and "Move old tabs to inactive". Has several plugins installed: - Ghostery - Decentraleyes - Search by Image - uBlock Origin - ClearURLs

I usually visit 5-10 websites a day, having multiple opened tabs to read later. Sometimes when I open a new tab, open the page, start scrolling, the browser slows down and then crashes. It doesn't show any error, just shuts down the app so I have to open it again.

On various sites, e.g. DuckDuckGo search results, parts of the text are missing. Sometimes it's one or more complete lines, sometimes it's part of the line (left, right, middle, upper, lower part). It looks like rectangles in background colour hide the text. Zooming changes the affected zones and generally makes more an more text visible again. Selecting the missing text also makes it visible. This happens on only one device. Complete deinstallation and reinstallation of Firefox for Android didn't help.
