Hi I have been using firefox on linux for a while without updating it. We are artsellers and I used to be able to log in and out of an artplatform without any problems. It's now been a few weeks since logging out is not possible any more on this platform which means that I am constantly logged in which I really do not want. The menu does not work anymore on this side whereas it works with other browers. I already contacted the platform. They cannot do anything about it themselves and asked me to contact your team. Ive tried down loading all the required packages; I have the latest FireFox available ;but still get the message on you tube to update to latest Fire Fox. On Ubuntu 18.04the same message but includes a error code 99,999.

I've looked for solutions, some had weird MTU settings, some needed to enable hardware acceleration in Chrome, but haven't found a solution that works. Created a new profile to try that out, but still no dice.

I can do a test recording in Google Meet, which displays my video just fine, but when playing back, it's just a black screen, and that is also what happens if I share my screen. Participants get a lot of black.

I've been using Firefox with Google meet for many years, and never had this problem before. I did report the issue in Meet, but it's not likely to attract much attention from Google.

Suggestions much appreciated.

I am using the latest version of Firefox on Linux Mint. I've had some flash on opening issues that I've been unable to permanently prevent. Suddenly my adblock software is not working. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, different adblocks-no improvement. No extension software is showing on my toolbar and selecting the extensions software just brings up a suggested extensions.

Hello, I've got a reproduction issue on France TV live programs which I watch through nordvpn. The picture keeps "jumping" fast up and down in a very bothering way. This doesn't happen when the video is NOT live. I run the latest version of LINUX MINT. What can I do to fix it? The only way I found to stop the issue is to take down the resolution of the live video to its minimum which gives me a disastrous picture but stops the "jumping". I guess you might say there is something wrong with my GPU. The point is that my PC is brand new with an AMD 5600G, new MB, 16Gb of RAM and 500w of PSU. BUT more than anything I have to say that everything WORKS FINE with CHROME. I like FIREFOX I have been using it literally for decades now. (I'm 75). Is there a solution? I accidentally used wrong disk when downloading a big file. So my primary disk, where I'm running OS became 100% full. Then I removed this big file, checked that disk is not full anymore, and tried to download again, this time choosing the right disk, but now the Firefox internal file browser, where we open files, and select folder to download is broken, pointing wrong location when selecting disk/folders. I tried restarting OS, reinstalling firefox, but it's internal file browser is still broken. In Chrome it's ok, in system file explorer is ok, problem occur only with Firefox. I'm using Pop!_OS 22.04.

Is there a way I can reset this internal file browser to work properly again?

Wishing to view my own html file in my Ubuntu Linux system I pressed the Alt key which I thought would give me a "File" menu. I could not see one. How do I get it?

I wanted to make a lengthy post on a website today, but I accidentally hit CTRL + R twice which bypassed the "This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave — information you’ve entered may not be saved." safety net. Is there a way to deliberately disable any and all refresh shortcuts and buttons when a safety net shows up, so my buttery fingers don't ruin my day to it's absolute maximum?

I want safety nets to be deliberately annoying.

Please provide a native way to change the behaviour of Ctrl-W. I tend to switch between aZerty and qWerty keyboard layouts, as a result I sometimes hit ctrl-W when I would like to ctrl-Z some change. As a result I tend to lose some work when the tab I'm working in closes. It would be nice to be able to rebind some of the default key combinations, or at least disable them.

I found a method description that edits the omni.ja file, but also that this method is unsupported. Moreover, running ubuntu kind of rules this out as an option, as canonical has ruled that firefox is to be installed via snap, in a read-only data store.

I tried to visit the following pages in Firefox 121 (running under Arch Linux) and they took minutes to load. They loaded in a fraction of a second in Chromium. Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

FF112 encountered this exact eror beginning march 7. upgrading to F123 default setings has not helped. Is this eror indicating only a certain browser can continue to the website?

I am in the habit of generating related tabs across several windows. Say, 5 windows and there might be 13 tabs that I want to organize onto one, new, window. How can I do this?

I have firefox on both of my linux Ubuntu22.04 machines. As of yesterday, that little rounded arrow in the toolbar disappeared. I still have the forward and backward arrows and the home icon, but the refresh button is gone. It is still there on my other computer. Both have version 120.0.1 on them. Makes no sense to me.

Hello and thank you for your help will my question. I'm using the Firefox Browser 78.7.1esr on my laptop with LinuxMint 17.3 installed. This version of Firefox is the most up to date allowed with my current operating system. Everything is working fine. The laptop sits on my desk at home, connected to a secure internet server. I do all my work online and everything has been working great.

Now I receive messages from Mozilla regarding older Firefox Browser versions, including the 78.1.7esr that will no long support signing in to Firefox or the syncing function. I've never used the sync option, however I totally depend on being able to access the Firefox Browser multiple times each day.

If I am understanding this correctly, after March 31, 2024 I will be effectively locked out of my Firefox Browser installation. Is this true? Do I have any other options beyond an update (which is impossible on my current laptop). Any other ideas?

I assume I need to move to a completely new web browser of some sort, although Firefox is great. Anything you can offer by way of ideas or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I want to remove the top toolbar. I actually use the plug-in called “New windows without toolbar” for this, but I have to activate this plug-in by clicking on it every time. I want the toolbar to not appear at all when Firefox first opens, how can I achieve this?

I am running Firefox 119.0 on Linux and am unable to stream video on many sites. I have tested a few sites, and the only site that actually works for streaming video is YouTube. The others either say 'Source Error' or just load forever.

Things I have tried:

• Accepting cookies (via site exception)

• Turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection for the site that won't stream video

• Turned off pop-up blocker

• Enabled auto-play of video and audio on the site

• Checked for updates of Firefox (but there are none available)

• Launched Firefox in Troubleshooting mode with all extensions and customizations disabled, but this makes no difference

At this point, after doing some online research and trying everything I can think of, I'm really out of ideas.

I would appreciate any suggestions or information anybody has.

Wanted to export some bookmarks, and couldn't figure out why (latest Firefox) Bookmarks "Library" was missing relevant buttons/menus. (Screenshots attached.)

After testing, found they actually are there, but have have almost no contrast vs background - that is when "Manage Bookmarks" is called from a Private window. But things look fine when called from a Standard window. (No extensions; same in Safe Mode.)

Can anyone advise?

A simple workaround is to bring a standard window to the front first, but am curious if this is Firefox on all systems? Only FF Linux? Only the particular (default) settings of my Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon installation, and display? Not even sure a Bookmark management window is ever meant to assume the theme of the foreground window (here Private browsing's dark).
